WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DRINKING AT DISNEY WORLD

Ahh, the most magical place on earth – and not because of heart-stopping rides or characters that have come to life, but because Disney World has been hiding a plethora of delicious boozy drinks (no wonder my parents took me here so many times). Read on for six of Disney’s best beverages.

Strawberry Shiraz Slushie

Delish recently reported that a frosty wine slushie is now available at Amorette’s Patisserie, an eatery in Disney Springs, promting us to begin a full-on investigation into what other spiked specialties are offered throughout the park.

Welsh Dragon

This alarmingly green drink is a potent combination of peach schnapps, melon liqueur, creme de menthe, and orange and pineapple juices. It’s available at the Rose and Crown Pub in Epcot, and is sure to ease the pain of a long day spent waiting in line for roller coasters.

Safari Amber Lager

We shouldn’t be as shocked as we are that Disney World has their own specialty beer, but the news came as a pleasant surprise. If you couldn’t guess from the beer’s name, the brew is unsurprisingly served in Animal Kingdom. One lucky taster reports that it’s an American-style red lager, medium-bodied with a subtle taste of hops and citrus.

Spikey Pineapple

The cult favorite Dole Whip gets 21+ at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, blending the famous pineapple soft serve with Barbancourt Pango Rhum.

Night Monkey

Available at the Animal Kingdom’s Nomad Lounge, this tropical cocktail blends rum, guava, coffee and mint for a pick-me-up that’s sure to perk you right back up.

Frozen Kirin

Offered at Epcot’s Kabuki Cafe, this Japanese favorite beer is ultra frosty and the perfect way to beat the Florida heat.

Sicilian Sunset

Cool off with a citrusy cocktail made by mixing vodka, orangecello, orange juice and pineapple juice, which then gets poured over a scoop of shaved ice. Drink or dessert? You decide. Find this drink at Via Napoli in Epcot, which also serves some top-notch wood-fired pizza.
