Thirsty Thursday: Summer Sipper Sangria Recipe


  • 3 cups leftover fruit from tipsy fruit salad or an assortment of your favorite fruit, cut into bite size pieces – such as pineapple, oranges, grapes, melon, berries, peaches, nectarines
  • 1/2 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 cup light rum
  • 750 ml of dry white wine about half a bottle, like a sauvignon blanc or pinot gris
  • splash sparkling water or club soda optional


  1. Combine all ingredients (except sparkling water/club soda) together in a pitcher. Chill for several hours.
  2. Serve as is or with a splash of sparkling water or club soda for a spritzer if desired.

Thirsty Thursday: Frozen Raspberry Peach Sangria Recipe


  • 1 bottle of red wine (pinot noir)
  • ⅓ cup brandy
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 cups frozen peaches
  • 1 navel orange, peeled
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • juice of 1 lime (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar


  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender, mix until smooth and serve.

Thirsty Thursday: Winter-Spiced Pomegranate Sangria Recipe

Made with rosé wine and pomegranate juice, this sangria is light, fresh, and spiked with a holiday-spiced simple syrup.


Spiced Simple Syrup:

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Pinch of whole cloves
  • 1 thin orange slice
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water


  • 1 bottle of rosé wine
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • ½ cup brandy
  • Arils from 1 pomegranate
  • 1 pear, seeded and sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • Club soda, to taste


  1. In a small saucepan, combine the spiced simple syrup ingredients and bring to a low boil, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain; set aside.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine rosé, pomegranate juice, brandy, prepared simple syrup (to taste), pomegranate arils, pear slices, and orange slices.
  3. Serve topped with club soda, to taste.

Thirsty Thursday: Peach Sangria Popsicles Recipe

Boozy Peach Sangria Popsicles are the perfect summer treat!


  • 1/2 bottle sweet, fruity white wine like a sauvignon blanc or riesling
  • 1/3 cup peach schnapps
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 medium peach, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • Fresh mint
  • Prosecco
Special Equipment
  • Popsicle mold
  • Popsicle sticks


  1. Mix the wine, peach schnapps and sugar in a pitcher. Stir until combined.
  2. Place the fruit and mint in your popsicle mold.
  3. Fill each mold with the white wine mixture.
  4. Insert popsicle sticks, leaving room between the bottom of the mold and the bottom of the stick. Freeze overnight.
  5. Remove popsicles from mold and serve in a glass of prosecco!
